At Nelson Connects, we're looking for a skilled Electronics Design Specialist to join our team on a 24-month contract basis. This opportunity is based in Santa Rosa and offers a competitive hourly rate of $35.00.

About the Role

As an Electronics Design Specialist, you'll play a key role in our R&D team, focusing on high-quality designs and fast time-to-market scheduling for the latest electronic R&D designs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing design review and analysis services to internal teams
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met
  • Performing design analysis for PCB/A designs, including RF, uWave, High-Density, and Mixed Technology designs
  • Managing and reviewing design layouts for compliance with industry standards and internal policies

You'll work closely with our internal teams to troubleshoot errors in PCAs/PCBs and support the technical aspects of turning them on and fixing issues.

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong desire to work in the electronics field and grow their technical skills. You should have:

  • A solid understanding of PCA/B design guidelines & standards
  • Proficiency in MS Office & Adobe Tools
  • Experience or willingness to learn PCB/A documentation requirements and control systems (e.g., Enovia/Matrix-One)
  • Familiarity with Siemens/Mentor Graphics Validation tools (Valor, Genesis) or eagerness to learn
  • At least 3 years of experience in PCA/PCB design and layout
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuit theory

You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in asking questions and understanding processes. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to multi-task and adhere to schedules and department policies is essential.
