Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the Imaging Service as a Radiologist Chief. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and leadership, with experience in managing teams and making strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Directly supervise medical imaging healthcare professionals and administrative staff, including physicians, nurses, and technologists.
  • Indirect Supervision: Oversee all other Imaging Service staff, allocating workload and ensuring compliance with governing rules and regulations.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead the Imaging Service using High Reliability Organization principles, fostering a culture of teamwork, competency, and accountability.
  • Collaboration: Participate in various meetings and committees, collaborating with other Service Chiefs, program managers, and the Chief of Staff's Office to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Resource Management: Evaluate current resources and demands, effectively utilizing inventory and realigning when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • License: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of imaging leadership experience, with a strong background in radiology and leadership.
