Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Specialist, Joining Technology to contribute to the manufacturing and testing of prototypes within our production environment. This role will play a decisive role in transferring lessons learned to the later pre-series and series production line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop joining technology standards for Scout
  • Design, plan, and operate a joining technology laboratory to validate joining techniques used in prototype build and subsequent series production
  • Create a database of joining parameters for respective vehicle models
  • Carry out welding quality analyses and assessments with derivation of measures to ensure consistent welding quality and robust processes
  • Develop a set of inspection standards for the quality of joints
  • Ensure communication and coordination between R&D, Product Planning, Quality Assurance, and Production
  • Support areas in production regarding parameters and influencing factors relevant for achieving required welding quality
Requirements
  • 5+ years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering, production planning, and/or project management
  • Broad experience in working in a Joining Technology Laboratory
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and project planning software
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgement
