Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Auto Parts Sales Specialist to join our team at Toyota/Lexus of Knoxville. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

About the Role
  • This position is responsible for providing high-level service to internal and external customers by assisting them in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace while ensuring all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
Responsibilities
  1. Provides high-level service to internal and external customers.
  2. Assists customers in selecting required parts, informing them of companion part requirements and specials.
  3. Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  4. Pulls and fills orders from stock.
  5. Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  6. Lociates out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submits emergency orders if necessary.
  7. Notifies the service advisor and customer when special-ordered parts have been received.
  8. Follows up on back-ordered parts.
  9. Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
  10. Assists outside sales representatives with their orders.
  11. Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  12. Receives payment from retail customers.
  13. Issues credit for parts returned, verifying original invoices or numbers.
  14. Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  15. Keeeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
  16. Maintains professional appearance.
  17. Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with auto parts sales is preferred.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.
