Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Professional to join our team at Gaudenzia. As a key member of our treatment program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Screen and process new admissions, ensuring a smooth transition into our treatment program.
  • Monitor client movement and maintain accurate daily census, reporting any infractions or incidents to the appropriate staff.
  • Coordinate in-house activities, including chores, breaks, exercise time, leisure time, and visitations, to promote a structured and supportive environment.
  • Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings, providing essential information and guidance to our clients.
  • Transport or assist clients traveling to and from medical and/or other appointments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Conduct and document room searches, perform random searches of clients, and deny access to unauthorized persons, maintaining a secure and respectful environment.
  • Supervise clients taking their medications, ensuring their adherence to treatment plans.
  • Perform regular room checks to ensure clients are on floors or in their rooms per program schedule.
  • Follow protocol for reporting unauthorized absences and monitor daily program activities, including meals and medication line.
  • Tour the facility at regular intervals to check building security and ensure there are no fire or safety hazards, conducting fire drills and safety checks as needed.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and complete weekly vehicle inspections, maintaining a safe and reliable transportation system.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness and safety through regular inspections of sanitation procedures, including pest control, storage of supplies, and clients' belongings, and submit work orders for any needed repairs.
  • Complete written reports, documentation, and electronic incident reports as required, providing accurate and timely information to support our clients' recovery.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems
  • Basic knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, other agencies, and the public
  • Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred
  • Ability to work various shifts
