Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a strategic Facilities / Engineering Operations Manager to help clients optimize their business in Houston, TX.

About the Role

This senior-level position is responsible for maximizing the value of client assets and achieving operational and financial goals through the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive Strategic Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of maintenance services to meet client expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with contract obligations by implementing audit and control systems.
  • Develop effective relationships with key client contacts and prioritize customer focus in all operational activities.
  • Create financial plans and set specific goals for cost control and reduction, ensuring these targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, advice, coaching, and direct support to deliver best practices in selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward.
  • Maintain relationships with facility team leaders to drive operational and strategic goals.
  • Support business communications by providing advice and leadership during team meetings, client briefings, and monthly reporting.
  • Evaluate and maintain an appropriately skilled workforce, taking responsibility for appointing qualified personnel and developing a succession plan.
  • Drive a proactive approach to continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Key Requirements
  • A proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape, and energy management.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with a strong P&L understanding and payroll oversight.
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building.
  • Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on education level and experience.
