Job Title: LINUX Systems Administrator

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled LINUX Systems Administrator to support our Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and SBIRS Program at the Mission Control Station on Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colorado.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a technical professional who specializes in maintaining and developing LINUX system architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple computer operating systems, COTS software products, and routine software maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor system processes, search log files for errors, and correct system performance issues.
  • Back up and restore files, patch software and operating systems, and write and troubleshoot simple shell scripts.
  • Optimize software and system configurations, document problems, maintain software licenses, and assist with software updates, system upgrades, and capacity planning.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and informal training on basic information system design, data flow, and operations.
Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret clearance required to start.
  • 0 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism, especially during stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of basic operations and maintenance concepts for various LINUX operating systems.
Benefits:

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $75,700 - $113,500, with the potential for a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
