Asset Protection Specialist

Job Summary:

The Asset Protection Specialist will be responsible for conducting surveillance and investigations into matters related to asset protection, including the detection and apprehension of suspected shoplifters and perpetrators of various types of fraud. This role requires a high level of concentration and resourcefulness, as well as the ability to use reasonable force to defend oneself and control violent or aggressive individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct surveillance and investigations into asset protection matters, including the detection and apprehension of suspected shoplifters and perpetrators of various types of fraud.
* Maintain Divisional and Regional productivity standards.
* Conduct interviews and collect evidence and documentation for the preparation of a complete investigation.
* Assist store teams with training on systems relevant to asset protection, including Everseen, Purchek, and Gatekeeper.
* Provide store teams with training on internal asset protection applications, including Shrink Trax, Lanehawk, and Profitect.
* Represent the company in court as required and serve as a liaison with various law enforcement agencies in criminal investigations.
* Prepare and submit electronic incident reports for all incidents in a timely fashion.
* Confer with Asset Protection Manager and Store Operations Management on incident details and case status.
* Monitor CCTV systems to ensure proper working order and train store management on use of CCTV as needed.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 2+ years of experience in asset protection or a related field preferred.
* Ability to work independently and exercise critical thinking and good judgment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
