Blue Ridge Regional Hospital is a community hospital serving Mitchell, Yancey, lower Avery and upper McDowell counties in North Carolina. Our 25+ bed critical access hospital offers various medical specialties, including emergency services, prenatal and postnatal obstetrical care, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs, nuclear medicine, and walk-in non-emergency care through Mission My Care Now Spruce Pine.

Your Role

As an ER Nurse, you will provide leadership and facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Your role will also involve implementing medically prescribed interventions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One year of hospital and/or ER RN experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (eNLC license may apply)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and CPI certifications

Compensation and Growth Opportunities

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer opportunities for growth and development through education assistance, certification support, and dependent scholarships.
