Job Summary

The NYC Employment and Training Coalition is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Director of Employer Engagement and Partnerships to support our workforce development initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employers, managing partnerships, and providing technical assistance to support program goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain consistent relationships with employers and partners to support program goals
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of projects and partnerships, including project planning, resource management, and reporting
  • Provide technical assistance in employer engagement, including research, analysis, and solution development
  • Train stakeholders on employer engagement best practices and provide guidance on program activities
  • Leverage digital technologies and creative tools to support scalable solutions and effective storytelling
  • Analyze operations of workforce development programs to inform partnership development and long-range planning
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the coalition's mission and vision
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • Experience in the workforce development field and expertise in partnership building across multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience working with justice-involved individuals and/or organizations serving justice-involved individuals or those at risk for being victims or perpetrators of gun violence

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet constricted deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with people
  • Computer literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and data-driven systems
Residency Requirement

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
