Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Feet & Helpful Hands Childcare & Preschool. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement daily lesson plans and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through the Brightwheel app, including updates on meals, diapers, and naps.
  • Support small group activities and help implement monthly goals as directed by the lead teacher.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the classroom, including after meals.
  • Help with art projects, serving meals, and other duties as directed by the lead teacher.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with children and parents, using positive language and tone at all times.
  • Model good behavior and redirect improper behavior by providing alternative options.
  • Supervise children and engage with them through play, reading, and other activities.
  • Ensure consistency by following the classroom schedule and holding children accountable for classroom rules.
Requirements
  • 18 years or older (may be 17 with completion of early childhood courses at school).
  • High school diploma or GED (may be considered if not yet graduated, but 18 or older).
