Activity Director

Job Summary:

As the Director of Activities at Veterans Victory House, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Activities Department. This includes designing and implementing an on-going program of recreation that meets the interests and well-being of each resident, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and develop activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of residents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure activities align with resident care plans
- Supervise and train staff to deliver high-quality activities and programs
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

- Minimum two years of college degree preferred
- Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or recreational professional with licensure and certification
- Two years of experience in a social or recreation program, with one year in a patient recreation program in a healthcare setting
