Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at BankWest. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and identifying opportunities to grow new customer relationships.

About the Role:

This is a key position within our bank, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for greeting customers, determining their banking needs, and providing a single point of contact for transaction completion. You will also process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Greet each customer, determine their specific banking needs, and provide a single point of contact for transaction completion.

  • Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier check issuance, check cashing, credit card advances, savings bond redemption, check orders, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.

  • Accurately perform assigned work tasks to support transaction completion, including night deposit and mail processing, ATM servicing and balancing, individual teller drawer balancing.

  • Provide customer service, perform account maintenance, and problem-solve according to customer needs, including stop payment, funds transfer, balance inquiry, address or other information changes, account balancing, debit card, and web banking support.

  • Open new personal and business accounts, including checking, savings, deposit, and IRA/HSA accounts, and identify additional convenience services, such as web banking and debit cards.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • The ABA Universal Banker Certification Program is highly recommended.

  • Bank trainee or intern experience and experience in customer service are desirable.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities are essential.

  • Familiarity with banking terminology and procedures is preferred.
