Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. You will work closely with our pharmacists to assist with prescription filling, patient counseling, and other pharmacy-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
  • Verify patient information and medication lists to ensure accuracy
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems
