ICU Nurse Leader Position

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator ICU to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring high-quality, efficient care for all patients during their stay with us. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, while also serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to our organization's vision/mission/values.
Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Qualifications
- Valid CA Registered Nurse License
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- 2 years clinical experience in applicable clinical area is required
- Leadership or management experience preferred
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
