Job SummaryThe Childcare Development Associate will assist in providing high-quality care and education to children in our Before and After School Program at Jordan Elbridge School in Elbridge, NY. This role involves working closely with our experienced staff to implement hands-on activities based on our Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering various subjects such as fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, artsy creations, and more. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children's growth and development while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement hands-on activities following our Healthy Kids Curriculum, ensuring alignment with state guidelines and regulations.
  • Create a safe, healthy, and engaging atmosphere where children can learn and thrive.
  • Stay connected with parents and family members via our communication platform, keeping them updated on their child's progress.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with colleagues, supervisors, and host school administrators to ensure seamless program implementation.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with children under 13 is preferred, but not required. We prioritize candidates who demonstrate potential and a passion for childcare.
  • Successful applicants will need to pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and medical clearance.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be warm, friendly, and upbeat, with a professional attitude and promptness.
  • This role requires physical stamina, as employees may be required to lift, bend, and carry up to 50 pounds.
