MERIDIAN SERVICES is seeking a caring and dedicated Direct Support Professional to work with individuals with mental health diagnoses or intellectual disabilities in their own homes or family homes.
Responsibilities- Work with individuals to develop and achieve personalized outcomes, focusing on skills such as budgeting, community exploration, meal planning, and physical fitness.
- Provide guidance and instructional teaching to help individuals build life skills and gain independence.
- Assist with personal cares as needed and provide transportation to community activities.
- Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
- Have a vehicle with current insurance and a good driving record.
- Have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or mental health diagnoses.
- Pass a DHS background study and have a successful clearance.
