Physical Therapist Assistant Opportunity in Chapel Hill

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at UNC Health Care, providing exceptional care to patients in the acute hospital setting.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday coverage. The selected candidate will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide skilled therapeutic interventions to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to various team meetings to plan for patient needs, discuss family education plans, and discharge plans.
  2. Precept PT technicians or other physical therapist assistants and evaluate the learner's competency according to department guidelines.
  3. Document patient treatment and progress toward goals, completing department records for billing and statistics.
  4. Instruct physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students.
  5. Provide skilled physical therapy treatments to a wide variety of patients, designing and teaching exercise programs to meet PT goals.
  6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives with the clinical specialist and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS certification.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $24.13-$34.70 per hour, based on experience and internal equity.
