Overview

PBF Energy is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and logistics facilities. We are seeking a talented lawyer with expertise in energy law to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF.

About Us

We operate through our subsidiaries, oil refineries and logistics facilities. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with logistics commercial groups and reviewing, drafting and negotiating 3rd party commercial agreements for storage and other terminaling services, pipeline connections and joint ventures.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide legal support for logistics contract procurement group and claims and disputes. They will also work collaboratively with the logistics team including commercial, operations and compliance to achieve the best possible outcome for the Company.

Skill Requirements

Candidates should have an inquisitive nature with a specific interest in energy and regulatory law, and should demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong understanding of refining and logistics business.
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented.
  • Solid research skills with an ability to read critically and identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively and prioritize assignments.

Qualifications

J.D. Degree required. Licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction or willing to register as Authorized In-House Counsel in either New Jersey or Texas depending on location. Approximately 10 years of experience working in a corporate or law firm environment preferably with a focus on midstream/logistics matters in the energy industry.

Salary Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $145,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that only candidates meeting the above requirements will be considered. For serious consideration, please include your salary requirements.
