At US Foods, Inc., we are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers. We currently have an opportunity for a Freight Transportation Specialist - Class A to join our team.

This role is responsible for safely transporting products to customers and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards. To be successful in this position, you will need a valid CDL Class A, a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience, and a commitment to safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift.

We offer a competitive salary starting at $27.81/hour during training, with an average of $32.00/hour after, as well as comprehensive benefits from day one. Our flexible scheduling options provide a true work-life balance, with multiple full-time schedules available, including both 5-day and 4-day work weeks.

This position requires the ability to operate manual transmission and a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
