Manufacturing Labeling Expert Needed

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Labeling Technician to join our team at Multi-Color Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machines to create labels and flexible packaging.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of machines to produce labels and packaging solutions
  • Monitor print and seam quality, identifying defects and taking corrective action as needed
  • Remove defective material and splice rolls together according to specifications
  • Utilize tools such as rulers, safety knives, and hole punches during splicing procedures
  • Palletize rolls and handle them with care to prevent damage
  • Understand basic printing and seam-related defects
  • Achieve and maintain job objectives related to planning and executing jobs and quick changes
  • Assist in external make-ready operations for changeovers and clean-up activities afterwards
  • Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment, stripping plates from cylinders and locating dies
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance specifications for customers and MCC
  • May be required to complete quality assurance sheets and associated documentation
  • Work overtime when needed and as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including recording data on paperwork and in the company's operation system (Globetek)

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing to calculate label counts and conversions
  • Proficiency in using simple Windows-based applications
  • Capacity to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with specific vision abilities required for close vision, distance vision, color vision, and adjusting focus
  • Print shop experience is helpful but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets, measurements, and instructions
  • Correctable vision to 20/20 and ability to differentiate colors
  • Ability to input data into computers

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $20.00 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential for night shift work. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k).
