Job Overview

Suna Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving data center operations across the organization.

Job Summary

This is a contract-to-hire position with the potential to extend. We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with expertise in Windows on-prem and cloud services, including active directory domains, Azure, Office 365, and Exchange.

Responsibilities
  • Improve data center operations across the organization.
  • Assist with general server maintenance and upgrades across the organization.
  • Provide expertise in Windows on-prem and cloud services including active directory domains, Azure, Office 365, and Exchange.
  • Install and support WiFi access points, connectivity, and authentication.
  • Provide expertise of LAN and WAN networks including routing, OSPF, subnetting, VPN technologies.
  • Provide expertise with Cisco Meraki, Dell, and Brocade switches. Ability to program switchports, access control lists, VLANs, routing, and security.
  • Provide expertise in VMWare vSphere 7 including the provisioning and management of virtual machines, networking, fault tolerance, and storage.
  • Install, configure, and maintain SAN storage arrays, and associated connectivity.
  • Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls including Prisma access and Global Protect VPN.
  • Strong experience with Cloud migrations and securing cloud access.
Requirements
  • Minimum of AD degree with minimum of 6 years experience performing Data Center operations support
  • CCNA or MCSE or VCP certification required
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft AD, vSphere, VMware ESX Server.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and network infrastructures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Experience working in the biopharmaceutical company preferred.
  • Must be physically able to lift and move data center system components (i.e. Servers, Switches, etc.).
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for projects and mission-critical issues.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communications (oral and written) skills.
  • Current CCNP or equivalent, Palo Alto certification highly desired
  • Infrastructure work -Programming switches, networking, server builds, backups, VPN, Firewalls, Network and WAN design, Wi-Fi.
  • Needs to have strong server management and knowledge of networking.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT supporting infrastructure in a mid-size organization.
  • 10+ years' experience is required.
  • Supporting infrastructure in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Associate's degree is required Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Potential to extend This is a contract to hire position
  • VMWare or Nutanix experience required.
  • Need to be flexible and prioritize tasks accordingly; Must be able to complete assigned infrastructure tasks independently.
  • Good team and cross functional collaboration skills.
  • 500 users at Halozyme (300-1000 users in previous assignments is ideal)
  • Travel MIGHT be required, but is very infrequent.
  • Bio/Pharma experience is preferred, but not required.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55-$65 per hour based on the location and industry standards. Suna Solutions offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
