Electrical Estimator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at The Levy Company in Selma, Texas. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for gathering, calculating, and compiling data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates.

Main Responsibilities:

• Calculate data, such as quantity take-off, bill of material, labor productivity, labor costs per manhour, and activity durations, to provide accurate and timely project estimates.
• Research historical data (e.g. purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity reports) and compile project reference information for estimates.
• Prepare routine estimates utilizing company estimating software.
• Identify business opportunities and present to Operations Manager.
• Participate in handover meeting to project managers.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 1 year of electrical estimating experience using estimating software. A Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably Construction Management or engineering, is also required. Valid Texas driver license is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience estimating federal, heavy industrial, and/or airfield lighting projects, as well as experience with Trimble Accubid Bid Winner estimating software, would be advantageous.
