Description
K Lochner Company, a leading provider of professional services in water, wastewater, drainage, transportation, and development reviews for public agencies, is seeking a highly skilled Drainage Project Engineer with a transportation focus to join our team. Our staff includes licensed civil engineers, certified transportation planners, project/construction managers, and construction inspectors.
In May 2023, K Lochner joined Lochner, a national transportation infrastructure firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, providing planning, environmental, design, construction engineering and inspection, and right-of-way services for surface transportation, rail, transit, and aviation clients. Requirements
- PE License in Texas
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering
- 8+ Years in Transportation Drainage projects including planning, design, and construction
- Experience with MicroStation ORD
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- TxDOT Precertification's 10.1.1, at a minimum
- TCEQ water quality design experience
- Experience with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
- GIS experience
- Familiarity with advanced modeling software such as SWMM, HEC-RAS 2D, InfoWorks ICM
- Task lead and project management experience

Work Environment

The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stoop, crawl, and lifting. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
