Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our construction projects in the Philadelphia market, including South Jersey and New Castle, Delaware. This role requires a seasoned construction professional with a strong focus on safety and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all company employees and contractors adhere to our safety policy.
  • Lead jobsite safety meetings and maintain a safety log.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job-site, rectifying any hazards immediately.
  • Prepare accurate and timely daily reports and field documentation.
  • Create and manage project punch lists with subcontractors and customers.
  • Work with the Project Manager to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Schedule and attend municipal inspections.
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
  • Manage multiple subcontractors and vendors across several trades.
  • Oversee weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors.
  • Regularly inspect work to ensure quality.
  • Manage construction scheduling on a tight timeline.
  • Order materials and schedule inspections as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and employees.
  • Review contract documents with team members and subcontractors.
  • Track and manage closing documents.
  • Enforce company and project policies.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency with email and daily reporting.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with diverse personalities.
  • Interact professionally and timely with customers, vendors, management, and stakeholders.
  • Critical eye and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Relevant work experience in commercial construction.
  • OSHA 10/30, CPR, and First Aid Certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supervising all phases of building construction projects.
  • Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
