Overview

Select Medical's Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with various conditions, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a leadership role in the wound care program, collaborating with Select Medical wound care experts to establish standards of care across hospitals and programs.
  • Develop and deploy evidence-based clinical protocols and algorithms to support best clinical outcomes for wound management, including product formulary development and updates.
  • Establish competencies for clinicians regarding wound care and collaborate with medical leadership on wound care initiatives, research questions, and outcome measures.
  • Develop educational modules for wound care, including teaching tools for patients and families, and analyze patterns of wounds across programs and hospitals to identify targeted PI activities.
  • Coordinate competency evaluation and testing for professional staff in collaboration with clinical departments and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing and other clinical education programs.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (AD) required, with one year of related experience and a valid State RN License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date, and completion of wound care training within the first 90 days in the role.
