Laboratory Scientist

Avera St Luke's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join their team. As a key member of the laboratory operations, you will be responsible for performing various clinical laboratory tests and ensuring quality control and accurate results.
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field and relevant certification within 12 months of hire. They will also have experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and be familiar with scientific principles, technical procedures, and problem-solving skills.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $27.50 - $41.50 per hour, depending on experience, as well as benefits including paid time off from day one and opportunities for career growth within an award-winning healthcare organization.
In addition to the salary, the position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of $15,000 with a 3-year commitment and a relocation bonus if residing outside of Aberdeen, SD. The work schedule includes varied shifts, including 8 am - 6 pm, 7:30 am - 4 pm, noon to 8 pm, or 2:30 pm to 11 pm, with rotation every 3rd weekend/holiday.
