Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Federal Affairs Specialist to join our team at the Kentucky Society of Association Executives. This role will be responsible for representing our organization and the PBM industry on Capitol Hill, building and maintaining relationships with Congressional members and staff, and contributing to advocacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent PCMA and the PBM industry on Capitol Hill
- Collaborate with the PCMA federal affairs leadership in strategizing, developing, and executing advocacy initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with Congressional members and staff
- Support the execution of the political giving strategy and PAC support within the industry
- Act as an interface with Congressional offices on behalf of member companies
Requirements
- 7+ years of healthcare policy and lobbying experience
- Experience staffing a member of a health care or other relevant committee on Capitol Hill
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Political discernment and the ability to identify and influence key policymakers
