Job Details

At Providence Swedish Medical Center - Edmonds Campus, we are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while interacting with patients in a caring and comforting manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting.
  • Responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images.
  • Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA.
  • Ability to accurately produce high-quality diagnostic mammographic images.
  • Ability to perform, in conjunction with the physician staff, related special procedures.

Requirements

  • 1 year of nursing experience required.
  • 2 years of full-time mammography experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have active WA state nursing license to submit.

Schedule Information

  • Department is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to 4:30pm.

Unit Specific Information

  • All techs new to department have 25 exams observed by another tech before working on their own.

Additional Details

  • First-time travelers accepted.
  • Must be open to floating to other campuses.
