Job Description

This part-time role involves supervising the activities of 15-25 youth at any given time, maintaining knowledge of their whereabouts, physical security, and contraband. You will provide a safe and secure environment through motivational techniques, individual rapport, positive discipline, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. Attend weekly staff meetings and collaborate with the team to achieve goals.
  2. Ensure the daily needs of youth are met, including showering, toiletry, problem-solving, and recognizing their efforts.
  3. Create daily routines that incorporate planning, doing, and evaluating activities or opportunities for individual recognition.
  4. Document daily shift occurrences and incidents, reporting them to Case Management at the end of each shift.
  5. Assist with daily activities of disadvantaged youth at high risk for substance abuse, status offenses, or delinquency.
  6. Facilitate meal preparation, cooking, and serving for youth center clientele.
  7. Maintain inventory of food, hygiene kits, and other youth services supplies, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
  8. Perform other duties assigned by Case Managers or Director of Program.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have reliable transportation and be able to rotate between two properties near Briarcliff Heights and Hunter Hills, approximately 20-30 minutes apart. This position requires a self-motivated and team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting vulnerable youth.
