Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on Sports, Public Assembly, and Higher Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration.
  • Plan and manage project staffing requirements, report project performance, and identify and address scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure a successful delivery of assigned projects.
  • Work with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction.
  • Engage with team leaders, client contacts, and partner firms to ensure project success.
  • Review and negotiate contracts and prepare fee proposals.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects, including managing and supporting all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools.
  • Support business development efforts as required to engage new client opportunities.
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team.
  • Contribute to design development, drawings, in support of overall project goals when requested and directed by the Principal-in-Charge.
  • Coordinate a team effort to deliver various sized projects through diverse design and construction phases.
  • Manage subconsultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop and monitor a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
