Procurement Buyer Lead

We are seeking a motivated and creative leader to join our Marion, IL team as a Procurement Buyer Lead. This role will play a critical part in supporting the mission of the warfighter by delivering high-quality products to the best organizations.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and other perks effective from the first day of employment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our procurement team as a Procurement Buyer Lead. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, evaluating product offerings, recommending suppliers, and negotiating contracts for assigned categories or departments.

You will also be responsible for gathering business requirements, identifying and pre-qualifying potential suppliers, developing and distributing RFPs/RFQs, collecting bids or other information, evaluating proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria, and recommending suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements.

Additionally, you may oversee tactical purchasing operations, such as the issuance of purchase orders or the payment of invoices, and ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.

• An Associate's Degree and 0-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related degree preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
