Job Summary

Midas is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems using state-of-the-art computer systems
  • Perform tire and tire repair services
  • Work on car heating and air conditioning systems
  • Repair steering and suspension systems
  • Replace belts and hoses
  • Work on radiator and engine cooling systems
  • Replace batteries and perform starting and charging services
  • Repair brakes and brake systems
  • Perform oil changes
  • Diagnose and repair check engine light issues
  • Work on mufflers and exhaust systems
  • Perform visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics
  • High personal productivity
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
  • Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, technical degree a plus
  • State-specific auto repair certifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
