Transportation Engineer

Job Summary:

ExecuSource is seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to support traffic design projects from the study phase to construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in traffic analysis, simulation, and planning, as well as roadway design and safety analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform field investigations and work as an integral member of our Transportation Division team
Provide traffic analysis and simulation, traffic impact studies, traffic planning, traffic signal design, safety analysis, and public presentations
Assist in roadway design, including intersection designs, traffic management plans, traffic striping details, utility coordination, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates
Prepare traffic engineering reports, technical specifications, and other written technical documents
Provide due diligence for state and local regulations, including zoning, planning, and environmental
Perform construction-phase field observations and other related traffic/roadway design and peer review activities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
2+ Years of Transportation Engineering experience
Registered Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training certificate, PTOE or ability to obtain within 2 years a plus
RIDOT, MassDOT, and/or ConnDOT experience preferred
Knowledge of roadway/traffic design with experience and understanding of AASHTO and MUTCD
Ability to utilize computer technology for engineering applications, including AutoCAD, HCS, and Synchro software, and GIS Systems
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivated with a professional attitude
Active participation in professional and community organizations preferred
