Seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN Physician

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, a member hospital of Dartmouth Health, is seeking a skilled and dedicated OB/GYN physician to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical and administrative services to ensure timely care of patients.
  • Abide by the Dartmouth Health Bylaws for the Professional Staff and Code of Conduct.
  • Review patient records and medical history to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Determine and order screening and diagnostic tests and studies.
  • Obtain informed consent for treatment, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures and studies.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical devices within specialty scope of practice and applicable rules and regulations.
  • Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary.
  • Initiate admission/discharge of patients, if applicable.
  • Provide consultation, education, and counseling regarding the management of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
  • Encourage behavioral change and assist with self-management skills to improve overall health.
  • Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient and family-centered care.
  • Ensure patient privacy, confidentiality, and informed consent.
  • Supervise APPs as directed.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME).
  • Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements
  • Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO).
  • Postgraduate training in residency program.
  • Vermont Medical License.
  • Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification (to be obtained within 5 years).
  • Active hospital staff membership.
