Job Summary: The City of DeKalb is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lateral Police Officer to join our team. As a Lateral Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining order in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to solve crimes
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and resources
Requirements:
- Certification as a full-time Permanent Police Officer as defined in 50 ILCS 705/1, et seq by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- U.S. Citizen
- No felony convictions and/or crime involving moral turpitude as specified in Section 5/10-2.1-6 Part C of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Act
