Job Description

Apex Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, NC.

About the Job:

We are looking for an individual with strong knowledge of sanitation requirements, equipment, and procedures in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of related experience in food safety, including manufacturing environments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper cleaning and sanitizing of process equipment, adhering to Master Sanitation and Filler Sanitation schedules, and maintaining records of sanitation-related activities.

In addition, the successful candidate will foster a safe work environment, maintain a professional manner when working and communicating with all company personnel, and identify recommendations to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to sanitation schedules and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of sanitation-related activities.
  • Foster a safe work environment and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • 1-year related experience in food safety, including manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, Safe Quality Food Principles, and Food Defense Principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
