Job Overview

The estimated annual salary for this position is $73,500 - $110,000 based on national averages and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess and Diagnose: Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop IEPs: Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to students, addressing various communication challenges.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaboration and Education: Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities, while educating parents on strategies to support their child's communication development.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Masters Degree: Possess a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Hold Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification: Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing a supportive learning environment.
