About the JobAs a Patient Care Technician, you will assist nursing staff in providing patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living
- Assisting with mobility by turning and positioning patients, assisting with use of walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs, and transferring patients to and from other units or departments
- Obtaining or assisting in the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination
To be successful as a Patient Care Technician, you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
- A High School Graduate or GED
