Direct Care Staff: Paid Training Opportunity

Copper County Community Mental Health is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Direct Care Staff member. This role involves providing support and care to adults with mental illness and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
The successful candidate will undergo a 21⁄2 week paid training program in Houghton, Michigan, where they will learn the skills necessary to assist clients with daily personal needs and recreational activities in the community and home setting.
Upon completion of the training, the Direct Care Staff member will begin working with consumers in a full-time or part-time schedule, with the option to choose from Houghton, Ontonagon, or Baraga Counties.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, and more. Part-time/call-in staff are also eligible for a retirement plan and paid time off.
Key qualifications include being at least 18 years old, having a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and a valid Michigan driver's license. A criminal background check is also required.
