A skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is sought after by Williamson Health Medical Group to provide clinical support in a dynamic medical office environment. As an integral member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining operational efficiency.
About the Role
This full-time position involves providing critical clinical support through patient assessment, scheduling, and specimen collection. You will be responsible for communicating clinical information to patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, and maintaining adequate clinical supplies. A strong focus on compassionate care rooted in community service is essential for this role.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must have a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university and be licensed by the State of Tennessee. At least one year of experience in a medical office environment is required, with proficiency in using equipment such as Glucometers, BP cuffs, thermometers, computers, stethoscopes, audio scopes, business phones, and various oral and injectable medications. The ability to sit, stand, communicate in English both orally and in writing, and lift over 20 pounds is also necessary.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Accurately recording patient's medical history and vital signs.
- Giving patients immunizations and injections as appropriate.
- Counseling patients on health-related issues.
- Ordering and maintaining clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Coordinating referrals and consultations to other medical services.
- Phlebotomy for outpatient clinics.
- Triaging phone calls and addressing patient portal messages.
- Obtaining prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing.
- Assisting physicians with med/surg procedures.
- Processing physician orders for patient lab tests.
- Maintaining quality assurance for office labs.
- Coordinating with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine.
Estimated Salary
$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
