Your Role

We're seeking an experienced Mortgage Professional to join our dynamic team. As a Mortgage Professional, you'll be responsible for developing relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and existing customers, and promoting our mortgage products to the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and existing customers
  • Promote and participate in educational housing seminars and special community events
  • Actively identify and refer cross-sell opportunities for bank products to the branch team
  • Cultivate solid relationships with commercial lenders, small business lenders, and branch staff for referrals
  • Personally interview loan applicants and provide counseling/assistance to help clients qualify for financing
  • Thoroughly complete each loan application in an accurate and timely manner, followed by the completion and required compliance delivery of the loan estimate and other disclosures
  • Submit a complete and clean loan file to underwriting with all documentation necessary for approval
  • Communicate approval or denial to the borrower in a timely manner
  • Maintain contact with the borrower after closing to maintain good customer service and potential future business

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Two years of banking experience in mortgage lending or a related field
  • Ability to learn and retain complex information with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills applicable to a business environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
