The University of Central Florida (UCF) Chemistry department in the College of Sciences (COS) seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Researcher for work in the Nanophotonic Materials Group. The researcher will lead the design, fabrication, characterization, and analysis of novel 3D nanophotonic devices for focusing and imaging.

The ideal candidate would hold a doctoral degree in physical science or engineering and have research expertise in optics, physics, chemistry, materials science, and spectroscopy. The researcher will receive extensive technical and professional training and learn many interdisciplinary skills that are essential for fulfilling careers across the sciences and engineering.

Responsibilities:

The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for creating and characterizing 3D nanophotonic devices. The researcher will contribute to the development and delivery of reports for external partners and project meetings with them. The researcher will also mentor junior members of the Group, assist in the development of new research proposals, and have the opportunity to teach, if desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

The Postdoctoral Researcher must be a US citizen and hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in a physical science, engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, optics, materials science, or engineering, and interdisciplinary research experience in these fields.
