Job Title: Head Lifeguard Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Lifeguard Supervisor to join our team at the Town of Concord, MA. As a key member of our aquatics staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pool facilities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patrons, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage lifeguards, instructors, and other pool staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
  • Monitor pool conditions, water quality, and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures, emergency response plans, and training programs for staff and patrons.
  • Collaborate with the Aquatics Program Manager to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to enhance the overall aquatics experience.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patron inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., recreation, education, or a related field) preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (LGT) and CPR/AED certification required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in lifeguarding, pool management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
