Job Description:
As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing peer support services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and directly impacting the well-being of those we serve. You will work closely with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans, foster connections, and support them in making independent choices throughout their recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans addressing their specific needs.
- Maintain communication with referral sources and guardians on progress, transition planning, and clinical matters.
- Participate in meetings to ensure continuity of care for individuals.
- Assist in researching and referring individuals to outside resources when necessary.
- Schedule appointments and provide transportation to Recovery Support Services and community-based services.
- Accompany and represent the agency professionally at client appointments.
- Support clients in accessing medical services and document services per state and CARF standards.
- Offer crisis intervention and facilitate group education sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, Rehabilitation Counseling.
- Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution.
- Work experience in a related human services field may substitute for educational requirements.
- Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) - CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC-P, RADC, CCDP, CCDP-D.

Estimated Salary:$43,400 - $58,600 per year,
based on location and industry standards.
