Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician

Vituity is seeking an experienced Board Certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join our team as an Assistant Medical Director at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla, New York. As a valued member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of pediatric emergency medicine and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
About the Role:
- Oversee quality and safety initiatives, collaborating with hospital quality personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement projects to improve service excellence and patient experience.
- Compare patient feedback survey results to Vituity state/region averages and national benchmarks.
- Respond to written and verbal patient complaints using service-recovery techniques.
- Train and mentor providers in patient experience techniques.
- Coordinate efforts with key leaders in central operations.
- Participate and lead multidisciplinary meetings involving nursing, providers, and ancillary services.
- Initiate process improvement and engage hospital project management resources to implement change.
- Coach underperformers and share best practices.
About the Practice:
Maria Fareri Children's Hospital is a major teaching facility as an academic affiliate of New York Medical College. Our hospital features 14 PEDS beds, 3 trauma rooms, 18 PICU, and 48 NICU. We offer 24/7 PEM physician coverage with 24/7 in-house PICU and Peds Hospitalist attending coverage. Our EMR system is Cerner with ED Launchpoint, and academic appointments are available through New York Medical College. The hospital is home to Hudson Valley's only all-specialty children's hospital in the region, ACS Level I Pediatric Trauma and Burn Care Programs, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and its Level IV Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our pediatric services include cardiology, neurology, hematology, oncology, organ transplantation, and much more.
