At Summit BHC, we are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our admissions process, you will provide a single point of entry for in-patient intake and work closely with our clinical staff to ensure the timely admission of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-admission screenings and schedule assessments to ensure patients receive the appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with business office, nursing, and clinical staff to facilitate the admissions process.
  • Provide information and referral services for internal and external customers.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coordinate with insurance companies to ensure seamless coverage.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication with referral sources regarding patient status.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • One or more years of experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in mental health or substance use disorder field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and assessment skills, with knowledge of community resources.
