Job Summary

The Tooling Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading and directing the work of other employees in the tooling operations department. This includes assigning work, instructing employees in proper methods and procedures, and ensuring the quality and timely completion of all job assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the work of other employees in the tooling operations department.
  • Assign work to employees and instruct them in proper methods and procedures.
  • Ensure the quality and timely completion of all job assignments.
  • Read and interpret information, answer questions, and review work in progress to ensure quality and timely completion.
  • Eliminate ordinary difficulties encountered in regular job assignments.
  • Prepare and maintain records pertaining to job assignments as required.
  • Responsible for satisfactory completion of work performed by employees assigned to them.
  • Refers any matter to their supervisor which is not within their authority.
  • Shall have the authority to recommend employees for employment, transfer, promotion, or disciplinary action.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of work to be performed within a given classification and/or a specialized job or operation.
  • Ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to cooperate and work with others.
  • Ability to perform high-quality work in a reasonable length of time.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written or verbal instructions, technical orders, operating procedures, and directives efficiently and accurately.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain a SIDA badge.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Correctable near and far vision.
  • Ability to hear at conversational level with hearing aid.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to manipulate and use a computer for long periods.
