Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Software Developer to join our team at Matthews International. As a key member of our Environmental Solutions group, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis and design of technical solutions to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, construction, test, and integration of software.
  • Support the workflow process from development to deployment to launch.
  • Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and team members to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Design and plan upgrades and installations to systems and software.
  • Lead systems development in the full systems life cycle.
  • Analyze business specs and identify gaps for technical implementation.
  • Propose solutions and work-arounds for any gaps.
  • Respond to complex trouble calls to diagnose and troubleshoot simple problems with existing applications, software, and data.
  • Resolve customer complaints with products and respond to suggestions for improvement and enhancements.
  • Review and make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
  • Perform the design of components and data architecture.
  • Work closely with other internal/external teams to ensure synergy of projects and processes.
  • Coordinate the documentation of components, applications, and user documentation.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new development tools and applications for use in assigned responsibilities.
  • Lead activities with other IT groups and customers to define the system design, user interface, and user acceptance testing based on customer needs and objectives.
  • Lead system tuning, optimization of information/data processing, maintenance, and support of the production environment.
  • Assure the use of agile methodologies to design, implement, and support software.
  • Ensure security of all software and related applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience building Mobile Apps for Apple and Android using Xamarin (3+ years) or Maui.
  • Hands-on experience with framework, C#, .Net Core (7+ years).
  • Experience with Web API, Entity Framework preferred (3+ years).
  • Experience with JavaScript, Blazor, MVC, JQuery, Json (3+ years).
  • Experience with Azure preferred (1+ year).
  • A deep understanding of application architecture and development in .NET/Service Oriented models, .NET framework, CLR, and VS.NET (7+ years).
  • Solid knowledge working with Microsoft SQL server and the implementation of complex SQL stored procedures (7+ years).
  • Deep knowledge of design patterns and OO design principles (7+ years).
  • Experience with Git, Team Foundation Server (2+ years).
  • Working with process owners and identifying information technology solutions that enable business process improvements (5+ years).
  • Mentoring developers in process and technology.
  • Leading projects to successful conclusion (3+ years).
  • Working within a Scrum or agile development environment (2+ years).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Azure experience with - Azure App Services, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Storage.
  • Quickbooks SDK, API experience.
