Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator and Classroom Assistant to join our team at Kiddie Academy.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide classroom support for co-teachers, prepare materials, interact with students, and supervise projects. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children, ensuring their overall development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Learning Activities: Facilitate and supervise children during all activities, providing guidance and support when needed. Develop plans and prepares instructional aids and materials for classroom activities.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom meet NAEYC standards, including proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
  • Child Support: Assist children with mealtimes, clean-up, and other daily routines, promoting a sense of belonging and comfort.
  • Paperwork and Record-Keeping: Assist with academy and classroom paperwork, including daily notes, accident reports, assessments, and attendance records using the Tadpoles App.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested, fostering open communication and cooperation among team members.
Additional Duties
  • Temporary Assignments: Accept temporary work assignments when regularly scheduled personnel are unavailable, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
  • Academy Events: Assist with planning and implementing academy-wide events, such as graduation, open houses, and fall festivals, promoting a sense of community and celebration.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Schedule and Availability: Available to work 9 AM - 6 PM, with hours subject to change based on center staffing needs.
  • Education and Experience: Meet state requirements for the position, with a preference for candidates holding 12-15 college units, including infant/toddler units, or higher education degrees in early childhood education, and/or 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications and Background Check: Possess a clear background check, understand the potential requirement for random drug tests, and hold CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Estimated Salary Range:

$40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
